Pastor Emeritus

     After graduating from Hyles-Anderson College in 1973, Dr. John Vaprezsan started Metro Baptist Church in Belleville, Michigan.

    He was awarded the title of Pastor Emeritus on July 14, 2024 upon his retirement after fifty-one years as service as pastor of Metro Baptist Church. 

    Dr. John Vaprezsan and his wife Linda have been married for sixty years and have three children, John (Carmen), Pamela, and Todd (Katie). The Vaprezsan’s have fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

  Pastor Vaprezsan is also known affectionately as “Preacher” to the folks at Metro Baptist Church.
